February is Black History Month

February is Black History Month. What began as a week-long recognition of African American leaders, movements, organizations, and other historical figures of Black history is now a month-long celebration of the achievements and impacts of African American history and culture.

This annual observance is an opportunity to honor the struggles and triumphs of African Americans throughout history and to recognize their enduring legacy.
